Maryland E-Z Pass and Toll Fees Reduced

The State of Maryland announced that reduced tolls and E-Z Pass fees took effect on July 1, 2015.


Notably, E-Z Pass no longer charges a $1.50/month maintenance fee to Maryland residents or those who had at least three trips in Maryland in the previous statement period.


Below is the partial text from an email sent to Maryland E-Z Pass customers:

As a valued E-ZPass customer, we are pleased to inform you that effective July 1, 2015 tolls are rolling back across the state with increased E-ZPass Maryland discounts. The discounts include:
  • Increased E-ZPass Maryland discount from 10% to 25% at most Maryland toll facilities; excludes the Intercounty Connector (ICC)/MD 200 and the I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETL)
  • Increased E-ZPass Maryland discount from 10% to 37.5% at the Bay Bridge
  • Reduced Commuter and Shoppers’ toll rates at the Bay Bridge
  • Reduced two-axle toll rates on the Intercounty Connector (ICC)/MD 200 and I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETL) for all pricing periods by $0.03 per mile
  • Increased E-ZPass Maryland supplemental rebate program for vehicles with five or more axles 
  • New 30% E-ZPass Maryland discount at the Hatem Bridge for three and four-axle vehicles
  • No $1.50 E-ZPass monthly account maintenance fee for Maryland addresses and for out-of-state addresses with three or more trips at Maryland toll facilities in the previous statement period
In addition, all Cash and Video Toll rates are reduced at the Bay Bridge effective July 1, 2015.
