Autumn Walk Forum

The name of the Facebook Group for Autumn Walk HOA has now been changed to reflect its broader use as a means for residents to connect. Formerly it was primarily focused on repair and warranty issues.

The Autumn Walk Forum will remain a private group (so only members can see posts and who's in the group), but has been unhidden to make it easier for new residents and owners to find it and send a join request (please include your name and house number).

Although the larger Emerson Facebook Forum likely addresses many of the needs of our residents, there are still some issues that are much more specific to our street and the unique design of our houses.

We encourage all owners and residents to join!

How to Use This Site

I've gotten feedback that sometimes it can be hard to find things on this web site.

That's an artifact of using a blogging service to host the site, but it was the fastest (and cheapest) way to build a site for our community, that I can maintain quickly and easily.

With that said, here are a few tips on how to most effectively use the site and to find information. Let me know if you have any more questions!

1. Static Pages
Across the top of the site, you will see five fixed "static" web pages linked (on a mobile device, you will need to access them from a pulldown menu):

• About Autumn Walk - overview of Autumn Walk, Emerson, and the area
• Flamingo Fridays! - what they are and how they work
• Landscaping - information about the landscaping contract
• Maintenance Tips - collection of all posts related to maintenance of our homes and community
• Contact - how to contact me, the Board, and the Community Manager (CAS)

The static pages are where you will most likely find useful information that has been posted in the past.

2. Sidebar

Down the right side of the desktop version of the site, you will see links and information about Autumn Walk and Emerson:

Autumn Walk is Now on Facebook!

Thanks go out to Sam Morgan in 9834, who has set up a Facebook page for us to use as a controlled forum for discussions within the community. The cover photo came from Randy Ransier in 9858 (the rainbow, by the way, was real!).

In order to encourage the free exchange of information, the privacy settings have been set at a level so that only residents who "friend" Autumn Walk can see and post to the page.

Please recommend that other residents "friend" Autumn Walk Emerson (http://www.facebook.com/autumnwalkemerson).

We hope this will serve as a valuable supplement to this blog in helping our residents connect, get to know each other, and help each other out!

Possible topics:

• Social: discussions and ideas for social events
• Recreation: queries and suggestions on places to eat, play, work out, etc.
• Issues: Problems that may be of general interest (posts might be deleted later if the issue is resolved permanently)
